These seeds are the same pumpkin seeds used to make our roasted pumpkin seed oil, heirloom pepitas, and maple pepitas. Finger Lakes grown, raw pumpkin seeds are an Austrian varietal that grows well in the region. Our raw seeds are dried at 140 F immediately after harvest. The seeds are loaded with nutrients like Vitamin E, zinc, copper, manganese, magnesium, lutein and zeaxanthin. These are the same seeds we roast and press to create our pumpkin seed oil. Seeds are dried at low temperatures to preserve the delicate fats and phytonutrients.
Seeds can be sprinkled on your cereal, yogurt or soups, used as an alternative to nuts such as walnuts or peanuts. Shelf life of the seeds is one year.
